Help Chris Fight Cancer!

My grandpa, Chris, is a vibrant, caring and generous man who unfortunately has been recently diagnosed with throat cancer for the second time in his life. Chris is a loving father, grandfather and great grandfather. He currently lives in Grand Coulee, Washington with my grandma, Ali. Let's help him beat this second round with cancer together!   

In 2006, Chris was diagnosed with stage four throat cancer. He underwent surgery where a tumour and 40 lumph nodes were removed from his neck and chest area. Surgery was followed up with aggressive chemo therapy and radiation treatments. After 6 months of tiring treatment, drastic weight loss and a burned/damaged throat, Chris was cancer free!

Recently, they found a masse further down in his throat and referred him to a specialist. After seeing the specialist and many invasive tests they confirmed the return of throat cancer. Currently it has not spread anywhere else in his body. Chris was advised that there are no conventional treatments (such as surgery, chemo therapy or radiation) available to him because of all the past treatment he received 10 years ago and because of the invasiveness of the tumour. There is one oncologist that may be willing to do a trial treatment of a new chemo therapy, however, it is very risky.

 After much research, Chris and Ali have decided that Chris's best chance to regain his health is with alternative holistic and naturalpathic remedies. The course of action he is taking includes cannabis oil, CBD capsules, liquid multi-vitamin and mineral suppliment, vitamin D, high dose of vitamin C, natural dandelion root and a very healthy and organic diet. After only a short amount of time taking the cannabis oil & CBD capsules, Chris has already started to see improvements; his headaches are almost gone, and way less intense, along with improvement in his breathing.  

All of these natural remedies are not covered by medical and they are very expensive (especially the cannabis oil). The cost for the cannabis oil is $53.50/day which adds up to approximately $1658/month. The CBD capsules are another $300/month. Additionally, Chris is a US senior on social security, he is on a medicare program where he needs to co-pay for medical he receives. Therefore, he is responsible to pay a portion of his medical tests and procedures. Medical bills are estimated to cost $400/month. 

Chris and Ali are both retired and on pension so these unexpected costs are not easily covered by their incomes and come with great stress. Chris is a strong man who cares for everyone around him and endures his hardships quietly and with so much grace.
