Stop me if you've heard this one before: I'm moving to Los Angeles to follow my filmmaking dreams!
Cliché as hell, I know, but it's true. I'm in love with genre films, specifically scifi/superhero films. According to the industry, women don't have the juice to make big budget movies like that but I want to contribute to changing that archaic way of thinking. I'm going to make superhero movies, you are going to watch them, and you may even enjoy them.
The Sitch: Recently, I scored a Runner position at Moving Picture Company but like every entry-level industry job, it pays very, very, v e r y little. And I have so, so, s o much student debt. Not to mention car payments, insurance payments, rent, etc.
I have some money saved up but I still need help paying for a deposit on an apartment, bedroom furniture, kitchenware, food, and all those sneaky moving/living expenses you don't realize you have until you're crying in the middle of your apartment sitting on a crate and eating uncooked ramen on a flattened cardboard box.
This is where you come in with them dolla, dolla, dolla, bills. I have until Oct. 1st to get this money together. Any donation will be greatly appreciated. Everyone who donates will get a Thank You credit at the end of every movie I make for the rest of my life.
