Pray for Sara Saldaña

Sara is a young, beautiful and talented Speech Language Pathologist of Nashville, TN. On March 29 she was in a severe car accident in which she sustained several serious injuries. She spent two weeks in the Trauma ICU at Vanderbilt, during which time she underwent a spinal fusion, arm surgery, and a skin graft. She required intubation/ventilator support and chest tubes to help restore her lung function and breathing. As of April 12, she has moved into inpatient rehabilitation and is gaining bits of strength and independence back each day, and doing a great job learning to compensate around back pain and broken bones (including 12 broken ribs and broken shoulder blades.) What a blessing it is that Sara is doing well considering everything, and on the road to recovery. Continued months of a full-time focus on therapy/rehabiliation will be needed though, as well as investigation and correction of her less urgent injuries (such as dental work, rib alignments, etc.) We are thankful that Sara has strong medical coverage, however, monetary donations of any amount would aid tremendously with things like insurance maintenance costs, adaptive items needed for comfort and recovery in the home, helping her family take time away from work, and the many unknowns that lie ahead. Thank you for your support in helping this amazing lady get back on her feet, and back to the "therapist" side of rehabiliation.
