Recovery Fund For Iris

On Wednesday night, March 28th, My friend Tae & I were struck by a Max Train on Interstate Ave. I was picking him up from a job site and we were on our way home, when this accident happened. We were making a left at an intersection when the Max came for us parallel and from behind, and as you can see from the news photo, collided with the drivers side of my car, dragging us 85 feet down the tracks with it. As the car was crushing and smashing I had to keep leaning over to the right to avoid being decapitated or having my limbs tore off. My father’s Ashes were on the dashboard and I believe his spiritual presence is what saved my life. Which I am so grateful to be here still without sustaining any critical injuries. I have a fractured left hand, two fractured vertebrae and a concussion, as well as tons of glass shards all in my orafices and scalp and body. I had just bought my used car, and just aligned with an incredible job which requires me to drive to and from work daily, since no public transit runs out that way. What I’m desperately needing now is to raise funds to purchase a new ( used ) vehicle so that I can continue to do my elixir bars, as well as get to and from work so that I do not lose my housing. This accident has been very traumatizing, and I am very fortunate to be here. Without a way to get to my work, I will not be able to sustain. As it is this has put me in the hole $3000 because my car didn’t have collision on it, due to it being from 2000. So the car is totaled, and insurance will not replace it. I did have basic personal injury insurance but only $15,000, so with all of the Cat scans and ER trauma unit costs, all together my bills have already exceeded that limit. I also am trying to raise attorney fees to help me with this situation. It’s been a huge setback financially & severely traumatizing. Mostly what I need at this moment is to not stress, because my concussion is severe, and stress is not good for brain healing. So being able to find an inexpensive used but reliable car to replace my Acura so I could get to and from my job would be alleviating some of this financial burden which would in turn, alleviate the terrible worry and fear I’m having right now. I would like to add that we were sober during this accident, my phone was not in hand ( it was charging ) and Tae and I were merely in a lighthearted conversation about what we wanted to do the upcoming weekend. If you can donate anything at all to help me out of this, I would be enormously grateful. They say a drop in the bucket for one person makes the world of difference for another I very much need the help or I would not be asking. My goal is to raise $4000. Thank you so much for your compassion and assistance throughout this ordeal. Again. We are fortunate to be alive, and feel very blessed despite the physical/ financial setback.
