1st Time Walkers to BEAT MS!

My husband Andrew and I are accepting the challenge to raise $5,000 and walk 50 MILES in the National MS Society's Challenge Walk 2014. Over the course of 3 days, together, Andrew and I will walk in an effort to raise money, awareness, and support to create a world free of MS! This is our first year as Challenge Walkers and we couldn't be more excited for this experience!
Multiple Sclerosis (MS) is a chronic, often disabling autoimmune disease that attacks the central nervous system, which is made up of the brain, spinal cord, and optic nerves. The progress, severity, and specific symptoms of MS are unpredictable and vary from person to person. Today, new treatments and advances in research are giving new hope to people affected by this disease.
In May 2013, Andrew was diagnosed with RRMS (Relapsing Remitting Multiple Sclerosis). After many doctors appointments, tests, and learning the news, we are blessed to say that Andrew remains in good health! Each and every day, I am amazed by and so proud of how he has tackled this news with such grace and optimism. Andrew is someone who does not take "no" for an answer. So naturally, when we learned that there is no known cause and no cure for MS, we were bound and determined to do something about it! We are aiming to meet our fundraising goal by August!
