Ride Cambodia 2014

Thank you for visiting my GoFund me page.

I know from personal experience that education and care are the keys to changing a life. About 16 years ago I restarted my life from nothing. I returned to my hometown and literally had $5 in my wallet and the clothes on my back and no family or friends. Today I have a successful career, a great community of friends, and wonderful family. Two elements of that success were returning to school to complete my education, and making my own family. A key piece of my family is a strong and healthy 7 year old daughter, whom I am so very thankful for.

Now it's time to give back, and I can't think of a better way to do that than providing education and care for innocent children in need. This year I have an incredible opportunity to do so through my employer Computershare. I have the honour of being selected as one of the team of riders for Computershare's Change a Life campaign for 2014.

Change a Life, Ride Cambodia is Computershare's signature charitable event that starts with fundraising efforts and donations for Sunrise Children's Villages and ends with participating Computershare employees cycling through the villages of Cambodia to see the impact of Change a Life first hand. Education and care are what Sunrise Children's Villages provide to children in Cambodia.

Since 2006, Computershare's Change a Life initiative has raised over 5 million dollars from company-matched employee donations, shareholder dividend donations, corporate contributions and fundraising programs.

My goal for the Change a Life campaign is to raise at least $5000.00. More if at all possible, but at least that much. As added incentive, Computershare will match 100% any donations over $2500.00.

Thank you for your support. No amount is too small, and thanks to Computershare funding the travel portion all the money raised goes directly to help the Sunrise Children's Village. Please donate and join me in helping to change the lives of children in need.
