Studio One Liberia

Empowering Liberians to restore Liberia, one song at a time!

The Liberia Association of Gospel Musical Artists (LAGMA) represents over 200 hundred musicians in the country of Liberia. They are young, talented, and passionate, but most importantly, they are a force for good in a country that has experienced the very darkest of human suffering.

Being in a state of recovery from war, and with unemployment in the 60% range, there isn't much of a music industry to speak of. The few studios there are run by people who take advantage of young artists and have been know to steal music from people who record with them.

Music carries within it the power to bring healing and restoration through lament and through rejoicing. By providing Liberians with the means to produce and distribute their OWN music, not imported, LAGMA, in partnership with Youth for Christ Liberia, is poised to usher in a music revolution that could transform West Africa with the messages of hope and restoration that the Gospel of Jesus Christ brings.
