Ride Cambodia 2014

Thank you for visiting GoFundMe to support my 2014 Ride Cambodia fundraising efforts. I have been very active in charity work for the past 10 years and I have dedicated my time and efforts to some great organizations and causes. For the past 5 years I've participated in an event called the Pan Mass Challenge. It's a two day, 200 mile bicycle ride in Massachusetts to raise money in support of the Dana Farber Cancer Institute. During my time riding the PMC I was lucky enough to be part of an awesome group of riders with Team Kinetic Karma. It has been my honor and pleasure to participate in that effort and raise over $25,000 in the process.
This year I have decided to dedicate my efforts to helping abandoned children with HIV in Cambodia. This charity was created by my company, Computershare, in an attempt to stop the suffering of children in that country. To date Computershare has accomplished the following:
* As of 2012: Sunrise Children's Villages and Programs have aided 400 Cambodian children and employed over 100 full and part time Cambodians.
* Programs focus on Center-based Child Care & Protection, Education & Vocational Training, Case Management & Counseling, Community-Based Child Care & Reintegration.
I am very excited to participate in this fundraising effort. The culmination of this fundraising will be a 10 day bicycle ride through Cambodia as Computershare Ambassadors. During those 10 days we'll be riding over 500 miles to visit all 3 Computershare orphanages and distributing the funds collected during our fundraising efforts. Funds that are greatly needed for those orphanages to stay open and available to those in need.
My hope is to not only meet my $5,000 minimum fundraising requirement, but to also far exceed that goal level. In order to do that I will need your generous support. Each tax deductible donation will be dedicated to providing food, clean water, shelter, medical attention and most importantly an education to children who do not have the basics that most of us take for granted.
