MY FAMILY AND I NEED YOUR HELP!

Never in my life did I think I would be in this position. Had a great job, future was bright, and then... My wife (FDNY EMT 9/11 Vet) Amalia’s kidneys failed in last trimester of pregnancy. Enjolie was born at 27 weeks with Truncus Arteriosis and had heart surgery at 3 months. Amalia went on dialysis and began the wait for transplant. Our daughter is eleven now and she is still waiting. Shortly after this Amalia developed Charcot Foot and eventually could not walk without help. All the while my body breaking down from sports injuries. Two hip replacements and three spine doctors later... We moved to California to get away from the ice and snow of NY and started a promising business. Then the last blow... Amalia lost a leg to Staph Infection. The business had to be sidelined. Everything was still handle-able until recently when monthly expenses increased by an unimaginable amount. The downward spiral picked up speed. We find ourselves hanging by a thread. There is a solution on the horizon, but without immediate help we will be homeless before it arrives. Me, Kevin Shields, always the “Superman”, never in my life did I think I would have to depend on the generosity of others to get us back in the game. I can not tell you how much pride the both of us had to swallow in order to post this. This decision took almost two months. I wouldn’t wish this situation on anyone. Please, we need your help...
