Move Mountains For Amanda

My name is Dionna Lynn (Donna Huber). I met Amanda at one of my shows in her hometown in 2017. We immediately connected and promised to stay in touch. After just a couple of weeks, we realized we had something in common. Health issues with our kidneys. Amanda Lydia van Nostrand is 24 years old, beautiful inside and out, AND full of life in her soul. Instead of living her dreams, and being young and carefree, she has the stress of bills, her job, her health, relationships, and all the pain she has to endure daily. When Amanda was 17, she started having problems in her right kidney and they couldn’t determine what was causing the chronic kidney infections. She seen a few different specialists over the years, had several different procedures and surgeries over time to try and fix the issue , but Amanda’s kidney function was very low and she was in constant pain. A new specialist was met in Edmonton Alberta in January 2017 which required her to travel, and they came up with a plan to do a kidney auto transplant, which is essentially a “kidney transplant” but using her own kidney. They took it out and moved it to the left side of her body and reconnected it to the bladder. It was a very long recovery and very painful. There were some complications following. Amanda was bleeding internally at the site of the transplant so they gave her two blood transfusions. Unfortunately, Amanda is a rare blood type O, therefore making it difficult for any transplant or transfusion. At the end of September 2017, Amanda decided it was time to go back to work. How else would she be able to pay bills and live even if it was just scraping by? But she had to try. After 2 weeks on the job, Amanda became very ill, and in constant agonizing pain. The doctors told Amanda that her kidney was only functioning at 14%. There was scarring from all the procedures, and Amanda’s body is now toxic. The urine is not draining properly, there is constant pain, and Amanda has to travel 7 hours to her doctors appointments which are frequent visits. The next step is to remove her kidney, and hopefully she will heal and we pray this rectifies the issues in her body. Everything is unsure at this point. Unfortunately, this will continue to keep Amanda away from work. She lives alone, and has been trying to sell her personal items, and is barely keeping her head above water. To have an illness, and then to have to worry about bills, work, staying alive, and many more stresses, this alone is unhealthy for her body. Amanda is not one to ask for help. It makes her uncomfortable and ashamed. But I feel it’s our job here on earth to help people in need whether they ask for it or not. I pray that you give, and if you cannot give, share share share. This very young beauty has become my friend, and she is such an angel. She deserves life. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. And Amanda will thank you as well. God Bless Everyone. Dionna Lynn
