Help me purchase a wheelchair van

My name is Mitch Liddell I was diagnosed with Duchene’s Muscular dystrophy when I was 1 year old. I have been in a wheelchair since I was aged 8. Since being in a wheelchair I have had to rely on Taxis to access the community, school and medical appointments. Due to my health I have multiple appointments throughout the year. I am also a very social person who loves participating in the community. I regularly like to attend local cafes and shops, movies and visiting friends and family.

As I could not afford a van myself, I had to rely on my grandparents and cousin to help me purchase a second hand vehicle.  This van has been breaking down constantly and we are having lots of issues with it.

When the van completely breaks down, I would not be able to afford to purchase one of my own and my family is not in a financial position to purchase a new one for me to use. This would greatly impact on my current situation. Not only would this stop my daily community participation and quality of life, it would financially impact me as taxis from where I currently live would cost me over $100 to get to my medical appointments at the hospital alone . I would no longer be able to attend the activities I enjoy that keep me happy and social in the time I have. 

A few weeks back, my van broke down and my carer and I had to walk for over an hour to get home from a soccer match. We didn't get home until after 1am as a taxi never showed up at the train station to pick us up.

I am asking for assistance to raise the money to purchase my own van  so that I can continue to enjoy life the way many others do.

I would be so greatful if anyone could help me purchase a new/secondhand vehicle that wont break down all the time like my current one.
