Krystal & Izy's Zambia Mission Trip

Donation protected
I have felt called to do mission work since I was in my late teens/early 20s & the opportunity finally fell into place last summer when I went to Honduras. I was nervous hoping I was correct in my calling as I didn't want to fail. I had it not only confirmed, but it was an experience that truly started to unleash something inside of me. I have always believed my purpose in life is to be in service. I've never had the "typical" American dream of a big house, white picket fence & 2.5 children. While we would love if the Lord blesses us w/ a family our dreams are of a simpler nature. Serving, seeing God's creation & loving those we are blessed to love. We strive to live simpler lives & to use our resources for where we feel led. We enjoy the "challenge" of living w/ less. We strive to connect in ways that others live as it helps to build relationships. All this realization came to be from years of "struggling". Something each & everyone of us faces. I have always tried to make the right decisions, I went to college, got an education, worked hard, never partied, stayed focused & have worked anywhere from 2-4 jobs at a time since my senior year of college. I did what I had to do to make sure I could take care of myself. I did not choose a lucrative career, I chose significance over success, but I thought I had job security. After Izy & I got married & spent our savings on our wedding I lost my job a few months after that. After the initial shock I was positive, naively assuming it wouldn't take long to find another. I have found jobs in the nick of time, but that didn't suffice financially & it has been a battle finding the right fit. And I don't mean fit for me just liking the job, nothing to do w/ that. I have worked whatever I could in the meantime working minimum wage for counter service & cleaning houses, again did whatever I had to do. In the meantime my husband was working & trying to go to school to better both our lives. I never thought why me, I just didn't understand when I was trying to do the right thing why it wasn't working out the way I expected. And the answer is just that. It's not my plan, it's God's plan & I'm hard to get through to. My husband & I have now taken risks & leaps of Faith that I have been able to conquer fears. Fears no longer have a hold of me. We've always made it through so there are no more excuses for being held back, God will always show the way. If I was too blind to see the window then He opened the door. This is just that. Africa was on my heart years ago when I first felt lead to mission work & God has made a way. We are thrilled to be able to be a part of this experience together & to see how we can grow. We are going with Adventures in Mission & will meet our team once we are in Zambia. Our team will work with a ministry called JZone that works w/ various churches in urban & rural areas in the southern province of Zambia. Our ministry opportunities include working with schools, children in orphanages, women who are widowed & medical missions. The areas of focus will be determined by the current needs of the community & the talents of the team for where we can best serve. All of the opportunities excite us as we just love to be able to share the Hope & Love that Jesus provides & I already know we will be the ones learning a great deal from the beautiful souls we encounter. Now the fun part, mission work is a bit of a financial investment, otherwise I'd do it full-time ;-) Financial support is truly appreciated as are prayers & encouragement. I have not forgotten each person that supported me w/ my last trip. So this is our story & our passion. Thank you in advance for any ways you can help ♡ The breakdown for the trip: $1,092/ person for mandatory international health insurance, food, lodging & ground transportation. And cheapest flights are currently at $1,300/person
