The update about his arm being injured has been deleted, as it caused a lot of controversy and people believed I was out to hurt Vergil’s vet. This wasn’t the case. The update was out of fear and worry that he couldn’t walk.
Remember to read the latest update. As of 3/27 he’s being taken to the vet for another blockage.
Update: The vet did NOT hospitalize as they originally intended. He was able to urinate after being sedated. This brings on some more massive issues, as I've been awake for 3 days to watch him. This is not easy. We suspect he has another block as well, which will be.. another vet visit and possible hospitalization. It's a very long, terrifying process, and we're both so, so greatful for everyone's support.
Original: Vergil has been to the vet not once this month, not even twice, but three times. The first time he was prescribed an antibiotic for skin lesions that are painful to him and bleed. The second was to hospitalize for a dental, and removal of an oral issue— this ended up not being a problem, but still has a hefty bill attached.
The third time is today, when Vergil was admitted for at least two days of hospitalization to get rid of either a stone, or a crystal based blockage in his urinary tract. He’s had this problem before, and thanks to Pretty Litter we were able to identify the blockage before it became life threatening. He’s a little uncomfortable at worst.
What this means is that for at least two days he’s gone. We can’t see him, we can’t pet him. He’s cold, alone, and scared in a cage with IV’s and a catheter. He’ll live, but as with everything there’s a hefty bill to pay. It’s not as bad as last time— reaching $800 overnight. But along with what we’re still paying out plus his antibiotic(not shown) and prescription food(not shown) we’re in trouble.
Vergil needs your help. Pretty Litter did the guess work, the vet did the foot work, but Tony and I need help with the payments. We live in a city that pays little, and with loans for school, expenses that pile up, and living in a house of two medical car-wrecks, even working full time with two paychecks doesn’t bring in enough to help our baby.
