Raising money to support the Education fund for the Greater Palm Springs Chapter of The Association of Nurses in AIDS Care.
Mission
The mission of the Association of nurses in AIDS Care is to promote the individual and collective professional development of nurses involved in the delivery of health care to persons infected or affected by HIV and to promote the health and welfare of individuals impacted by HIV. Inherent in these goals is the abiding commitment to the prevention of further HIV infection.
Founded as a grassroots organization in 1987 when a group of 12 nurses who cared for people living with HIV and AIDS came together, ANAC has grown from an original dozen members to an annual membership of nearly 2,200 nurses worldwide and 43 chapters throughout the United States.
On October 30, 2018, ANAC Greater Palm Springs Chapter was born to represent nurses and affiliates in HIV care within and around the Coachella Valley Region.
ANAC is comprised of a dedicated group of nurses, healthcare professionals and others who are committed to HIV/AIDS nursing. ANAC has members around the world. While most of ANAC's members are nurses, many other people who care about HIV nursing are also members. These affiliate members are social workers, pharmacists, physician assistants, lawyers, doctors and many people who simply care about the nurses who care for people with HIV and AIDS
