A Fighting Chance For Tessa's Heart

Tessa is a dear friend of mine who is currently in need of our help! Tessa and her husband Jeremy are currently battling a blindsiding incident at Strong Memorial Hospital. I received a phone call last night that shattered my heart. Tessa had been sick since December of last year with what they thought was just a flu/virus.. With Tessa's previous sarcoidosis diagnosis they managed symptoms as best they could, and hoped she would get better soon. After an endoscopy she was diagnosed with severe gastritis and prescribed medication to manage symptoms. When Tessa's symptoms continued to persist and eventually escalate in severity, it was discovered that the medication that was administered to help Tessa, only added water retention to her list of ailments. Everything became too much for her body to handle this past Saturday and Tessa collapsed at home. The diagnosis on this occasion was dehydration, which perplexed doctors as Tessa was also at the same moment retaining water?! They began testing of all sorts, Cat scans, MRI's, X-Rays etc. A cat scan they performed on Tessa's heart revealed that this amazing heart of hers had simply been working too hard, there is irreversible damage and that it is only functioning at FIVE percent! Her right ventricle is not working properly, and she has a blood clot in her heart as well! They are currently upping the dosage of her blood thinners and doing more testing to determine what their next moves are. Initially they were thinking a heart transplant, however due to eligibility factors Tessa does not qualify???! Her girls and husband are at a loss emotionally, physically and financially. Her best fighting chance is staying in the hospital, and undergoing more tests but finances are already dwindling. Thankfully Jeremy and the girls have moved back home with in-laws to save as much as they can and to be closer to their loved one, but our help is essential! They have no idea that I am trying to do this for them, but will eventually give all that I raise and the names of the donors (if you wish to be recognized) to the family! I cannot thank you enough for considering this, we understand times are financially tough for everyone right now and if you cannot donate, prayers are just as valuable❤
