loved fathers open heart surgery

Michael Fierro is a single father of 5 daughters and a grandpa of 4 granddaughters. He is a very loved man who works hard for his family! Thursday, March 15th he was having bad chest pain that was causing pain in in his left arm, his neck, and his jaw. He was telling his oldest daughter that he’s never had pain like that before.. so my sister decided to call the rest of us and let us know what pain he was experiencing. He didn’t want to make it seem like a big deal, so he wouldn’t go to the ER.. but he agreed to a doctors appointment, when he got their, they examined him, and told him to go to the ER immediately because of his abnormal EKG reading. We took him right away and they did further testing and determined that he had a minor heart attack in his sleep that night. They gave him fluids and the proper medication for his pain, and did further testing to see what caused the heart attack. He went under a cardiac catheterization, which is a test to see if he would need stenting for his heart, or a bypass surgery. The cardiologist determined that he had a lot of blockages in his heart and would undergo an open heart bypass surgery. But later on that night he was in a lot of pain.. he was throwing up non stop and could barely handle the pain.. he was having another heart attack.. The cardiologist missed something in his heart and didn’t put a stent in when she should have.. so they went in that night and put in the stent he needed. After they put the stent in, he was doing good and having very minimal pain, and was now waiting on the bypass surgery. The day of the bypass surgery was emotional and crazy.. our dad/grandpa had over 25 people in the hospital waiting room to see him make it through his open heart surgery. We waited 5 hours.. and finally he made it!! We were all crying tears of joy for the man we love. We’re glad he made it! He’s so strong and can pull through anything! He’s going to need some help though.. he is going to be out of work for about 3 months, and is going to need help with medical expenses and living expenses. While all of his girls work, we all have expenses all our own and are not able to cover everything... Anything you donate is a big help! Thank you for reading and understand and donating!
