On Friday, March 16th, Nick broke his leg and injured his shoulder after trying to save his son Jake from falling down a flight of stairs. Due to this, Nick is unable to work, either of his two jobs, during the next 6-8 weeks until he recovers. Because he is laid-up and unable to work, the family will need to pay a premium on their healthcare in addition to any hospital bills they face.
Dolores was laid off, last year, after working for two decades. Unable to find steady work, she decided to stay home to better help her two sons, five-year-old Zachary, who has autism and receives various expensive therapies, and one-year-old Jacob, who is currently in early intervention.
A few of us, Dolores’ friends, thought it would be helpful to try to raise some money to help Dolores & Nick get through the next couple of months until they get back on their feet.
In addition to raising funds, MOMS (MOMS Offering MOMS Support) Club of Hamilton Sunshine Coordinator, Rimana Issiako will be coordinating meals to help the family. Contact [email redacted] if you would like to help.
