Last Friday March 16th we sat in Mercy ER for hours not knowing what was going on...we knew she had yellow eyes.. yellowish skin.. stomach pain and the primary care dr called her at 330 pm and told her that her bilirubin and potassium levels were crucial and she needed to get to the emergency room. asap.. so off she went.. we sat and waited and waited some more.. they took blood.. and more blood.. did cat scans.. finally they came to a conclusion in ER about midnight by cat scan that she has a tumor.. no other information than that...she was being admitted into the hospital...to stay.
We have literally lived at the hospital with her Saturday..Sunday..Monday.. Tuesday..Wednesday ..Thursday.. each day they take more blood.. shes been put to sleep 3times for 3 different procedures to figure out whats going on. .One day coming back from endoscopy I think..is this real..how did we get here.. life sometimes simply isn't fair.
Today the dr informed us while she still hadn't woke up from being put to sleep down in endoscopy that she indeed has the c word..cancer..its a bile duct cancer known as cholangiocarcinoma..not sure of how bad it is yet... and our treatment options. we will find this out once we meet with the oncologist tomorrow.. We are staying as positive as we can because keeping a positive outlook is very important in this fight..cancer may have started this fight but we will end it and win because this lady has a lot to live for...more grandkids than she can count on 2 hands..3 sons that need her to be around for at least 100 more years and I refuse to believe this is her time and this is how her story will end...So
I am creating this..LOVE FOR LYNN to help her with her lost wages... doctor appointments..medicines.. whatever else she will need to win this fight..I'm not sure when she will be able to go back to work..we are currently right now waiting on her paperwork to see what benefits or if any she will get for lost wages. Whether you can or cannot help we appreciate all your thoughts and prayers.
