On August 17, 2017, 59 year old Lorenzo Anderson was riding his bike in Astoria, Queens around 10:45 pm when he was hit by a speeding Mercedes on 36th Ave . He was about a mile away from his home. The driver of the Mercedes exited his vehicle and ran off. Anderson was critically injured and transported to the hospital. After 7 months, the victim, Lorenzo "Popcorn" Anderson has succumbed to his injuries. He passed away March 19, 2018. Lorenzo leaves behind his 4 children, the youngest, just 15 years old, and a host of relatives and friends. Any and all donations will be greatly appreciated.
