Ella's Battle

Sweet Ella is fighting a battle no 16 month old should have to fight. Not long ago she was running, dancing and playing. Now she is hooked to machines, undergoing tests, seeing a stream of specialists and fighting for her life. 
Doctors believe Ella has atypical hemolytic uremic syndrome (aHUS). She is on dialysis due to her kidneys not working. She is requiring transfusions due to her blood breaking down. She needs medication to keep her blood pressure safe. The list of Ella's physical battles go on and on. 
Brock and Sara are the first to help others and would never want to inconvience anyone. They are heartbroken right now. They need to spend every second focusing on comforting Ella and being by her side while also caring for their two month old. Their amazing families are helping with Luke but this entire process is too agonizing to even imagine. 
What Brock, Sara, Ella and Luke need most is prayer. They also need Ella to get the very best care and medications available. aHUS is rare and not easily diagnosed. She needs a very expensive medication. Insurance has only agreed to pay for a limited number of doses. Each dose is greater than $20,000. Money can't ease the heartache Brock and Sara are feeling but it can allow them to place their focus solely on Ella, knowing she can get the medication and care she desperately needs.
