Jose (Rafy) Mata’s CI Hearing Aids

On Friday, March 16, my cousin Jose (Rafy) Mata was struck by a car walking home from school. He was transported to Memorial Hospital where among other things he had to have surgery on his leg. He’s been in a lot of pain and I can’t begin to imagine what’s he’s going through. The insurance will cover most medical expenses. However there will be several out of pocket expenses. The most concerning being replacement cost for his Cochlear Implant Hearing Aids which he was wearing during the incident. He needs the hearing aids to help him communicate so replacing these asap is a priority. That’s what this page is for. Those of you that know Rafy, know he’s a caring person and is always very upbeat and uplifting.
