Ormoc City Relief Effort

By now, most of you have heard and seen images of the disaster that hit the Philippines. There were 36 provinces affected by the typhoon, the second most being Ormoc City, Leyte where all of our family resides. We have had very limited communication with our mother's 15 siblings, our cousins and such. We have heard from my uncle who says we have many family members unaccounted for. My heart is breaking knowing they are scavenging through the mess in order to find food and water. The home my grandfather built is in shambles with no roof to protect those that have survived. I received a facebook message from my Aunt Azzima (my moms sister who lives in japan). She will be traveling there on the 26th to help with the rescue efforts of our family, to take supplies and food directly to our relatives. My brother Sean Forshey and I will be traveling to the affected area December 4th to assist the relief efforts and find our family. Once that has been accomplished, the intention is to set them up with shelter and stockpile food, water and medicine to ensure their safety and well being while helping others along the way.

Our goal is to raise as much money as possible to find our family and help as many people as we can.
