Typhoon aid for Bantayan, Philippines

While most of the focus on the recent typhoon disaster has been focused on Tacloban, there are other areas that have been hit just as hard. One such area is Bantayan Island which is in the north part of Cebu which is the province where my fiancée Gerly lives with her family.

Gerly and her mom along with friends and members of the church are planning to pack up food and supplies to deliver to the people of Bantayan Island. According to their contact on the island, 90% of the people are without food or shelter! To quote the love of my life, "your help can bring them a smile!"


The way that the site works is that you can donate from all over the world. The site will take 5% of each donation and 3% on all withdrawals. I think that this is a small price to pay for the ease of donating. Gerly and I will make sure that the money raised is used properly for the suffering people.
