Keep on fighting, Scottie McCoy!!

Scottie experienced a sudden onset of unexplained seizures on March 3rd and was rushed to the hospital via ambulance - he was quickly transferred to Dupont ICU and has been in and out of a medically induced coma to control the seizures, he has had a feeding tube and has struggled immensely with, simply, breathing on his own since then. Yesterday (March 13th) Scottie turned a huge corner and was moved to a general medicine floor only to be emergently transferred back to ICU today for an upper airway emergency. Once he turns this corner, he will need to rehab to gain back his strength. Scottie is strong and brave and has so many people to love him but it is going to be a long road to recovery. All the love in the world is what is needed right now. As a parent, we all know that the world around them has stopped - - Scott and Muffin and both of their beautiful babies can use a little help during this time. Scottie is an amazingly beautiful 3 year old little boy with the most loving and generous parents a kid could ever have. He has a big sister who is wondering why he isn't home every night and doesn't understand what is going on with her baby brother. I am confident that if you know Scott and Muffin, then you know they would do anything for you. These are the type of people who would give you the clothes off their back if you needed it (or even wanted it - - really though - I have seen Muffin remove the earrings from her ears and give them to my niece just because she complimented them). I have never known the type of kindness that this family shares and I want to do anything I can to help them, now, when they need it most and I know alot of people that want to do the same. Please contribute anything that you can to give them the time they need to be with their little boy in the hospital through this very trying time. Please help this family do what they would do for any one of us. Keep on fighting, Scottie! We love you.
