Save my Girlfriend's Horse

This is Shiloh. He is the loving, beautiful horse of my girlfriend of almost three years. My name is Philip an I am a 22 year old recent college graduate and her name is Caitlyn and she is a nursing student currently in her Junior year of college. That being said.. with my college loan bills and her still being in school, money is tight. We hate asking for money, but this sweet boy deserves this.
Shiloh is about 17 years old (only about halfway through his life, I hope), but he has a tumor on his right eye. For a long while, we all thought it was just where he had scraped his eye on the fence or a wart or something not serious. We put some ointment on it and kept a watch on it. When it failed to heal, we called the vet to come check it out. The bad news was that there is a cancerous tumor on/above his eye (squamous cell carcinoma, to be exact). The vet recommended a surgeon nearby that could remove Shiloh's eye and eyelid to stop the cancer from spreading.

Upon calling this surgeon(Dr. Fred Caldwell at Auburn University), we have been told that the cost of the surgery to remove Shiloh's eyelid and eye will be $2,500 and it needs to be done as soon as possible to prevent the cancer from spreading. If the surgery is not done, the cancer will spread. This is a life or death situation, and I know Caitlyn would be overwhelmed with appreciation if we were to receive any help whatsoever.

The goal is $2500, but anything helps, and I mean anything.
