Fighting My Multiple Sclerosis

Donation protected
My name is Christian Ortiz I am 27 years old I was diagnose with MS in November 10 2017 (the day of my birthday). I was having my symptoms since December of 2016. I was currently visiting the ER almost 5 times a month on December, blurry vision of my left eye and persistent headaches. On January 2017 my legs started to numb up and feeling tingling and having the sensation they were burning me and cramps all the times. I visited my primary care doctor which he gave me Gabapentin 300mg thinking it was neuropathy. It helped a little but the side effects were too much for myself. On March of the same year my legs started to bruise up and varicose veins started to show up, so they did an Venus and arterial Doppler which came up Good. On April my vision worsen and they prescribed me glasses which my health insurance did not covered. In June I went to the ER three times in one week with headaches, dizziness, blurry vision and numbness of my left side of the face. They told me it was a facial parálisis and an ear infection. They discharge me home with antibiotics. On July I went back to the ER with headaches, dizziness and weakness. They order me and Brain Ct Scan which also came out good. So I decided to book an appointment for a neurologist which it was book for Oct 4 2017 and it was July. So I kept working hard, I am a Respiratory Therapist. With all the pain in my legs and dizziness I gave it my best to help my patients. Then on September we were hit by hurricane Maria that destroyed everything in which I worked for four days in a row non stop. From that I developed a PTSD which as today I get scared when it rains or when it windy. I lost my appointment due to the hurricane. And i paid a private visit to a neurologist and told her my problem but she told me it could be MS but she needed to send me to do a lot of of exam. I was done an brain MRI and the results MS. She referred me to be hospitalized so I can be done more exam and start treatment on steroids. I was hospitalized for 6 days on November. I stop working on December 8 and moved back to Boston for better treatment due to the island been destroyed by Maria. I have been hospitalized since feb 28 2018 to present currently March 12 2018. I am going to get placed an baclofen pump in two weeks. Which is going to help me infused my spinal cord the medication direct constantly and i don’t have to drink as much pills I drink a day probably about 21 pills a day. I would need help to cover anything insurance wouldn’t cover. I am taking physical therapy and I use a walking cane or the roller walker to move around. I also apply for welfare due that I am not working and my condition limits me but I was denied. This will help me for my medical supplies if insurance won’t cover them and some other stuff. God bless everyone.
