UPDATE: I was able to pay my October rent with this fund. Thank you all who donated. However, I am now facing my phone being shut off and my car being repossessed by end of October. So I am still in need of donations. Please consider donating. Thank you. I am a 59 year old woman and was laid off of my job 9 months ago. I have applied to over 60 jobs and am not having any luck getting hired due to my age. I am having difficulty even getting a temp job. I have run out of unemployment and am several months behind on rent and am going to be evicted soon. I will be homeless. I do not qualify for many rent assistance programs due to the fact I am not bringing in any income and I am too far behind in rent. I have great phone interviews but once they see me in person I do not get the job. I do have many health conditions that allow me to qualify for disability income and I have applied. However, it takes 6 to 8 months to even be approved and get first check. I have also ran out of all my medicines and do not have the money to pay for them. I am desperate and crying all day, every day and the anxiety is more than I can bear. If my landlord does not get some money by the end of September, he is going to evict me. Because of my circumstances, I have been unable to get any money to him. I am a spiritual person but am losing my faith. I desperately need help.
