Please Support Julie's Medical/Move
My name is Linda Webster and I am the mother of Julie (Koellner) Thornley. I am reaching out for help as a very last resort. Anyone that knows my daughter, is aware that she is always the first to reach out to anyone needing a kind words, prayers and support. Now, she is the one desperately needing help. What you may not know, because Julie is a very private person, is that she suffers from serious medical issues of her own. Julie has neglected her own health for far too long, dedicating to her disabled daughter Heather. Many of you will remember Heather's hospitalization in 2013, during which time she endured five major surgeries and was in a coma and on a ventilator at Arnold Palmer Children's hospital in Orlando, Florida. We received a miracle during that time and due to our steadfast faith, we believe Julie will receive a healing miracle of her own. Complications from Systemic Lupus, Psoriatic Arthritis and Lyme disease (to name a few) have caused severe heart, lung and kidney damage. In addition, uncontrolled high blood pressure has resulted in Diastolic heart failure (Grade 3, Class 4) which is very serious and is rapidly progressing. Though she has been treated with many different medications for years, her blood pressure remains high (average 189/117). The left side of her heart has become stiff and enlarged, therefore unable to properly pump blood through the heart. Julie and Heather need to get back to Maryland to receive more advanced medical treatment from Johns Hopkins and George Washington hospitals, or I am seriously concerned that we may lose Julie, which neither Heather nor I could bear!! It is also extremely important for Heather to be reacquainted with our family after 13 years in Florida, in the event that something should happen to Julie. It is only the three of us here and we all need the love and support of family and friends. I cannot emphasize enough how desperately they (especially Julie) need to get home for medical care and the support of her family. To those of you who personally know Julie this may come as quite a shock, but I assure you every word is true. If you are able to donate, any amount will help. If not, kindly pray for her.
