Medical Fundraising for Lucinda Sablan
Donation protected
Nothing in our lives can ever prepare us for a terrible
disease such as cancer. You have
probably already seen the number of new cases each week and the survival
statistics. I agree they are
frightening. But figures alone do not
tell their story. Here is a partial, but,
true story:
While we prepare errands and tasks we need to accomplish for the week, a cancer patient prepares goodbye letters to loved ones:maybe even a video or two for important life events "“ a graduation, a wedding for a young grandchild:just in case.
We plan and set goals to reach in life, a college degree in 2 years, a new car in 4 years, a house in 10 years while a cancer patient plans to complete their treatment and their goals are simply: live to see tomorrow.
Many, keep a journal noting their fears, anger, insecurities and tribulations, a cancer patient's journal would record how far they have come and often look back to see how much progress has been made.
With Holiday preparations underway, cancer patients are giving thanks each day they wake up and prepare their days asking God for mercy in their agony.
Many, celebrate birthdays and the Holidays with great cheer and joy, a cancer patient celebrates every trivial thing, being able to eat or talk or walk.
Sadly, I have already lost one sister to cancer and now, my oldest sister, Lucinda, has been receiving chemotherapy in the Philippines since July of this year. I am pleading with my friends, family and those concerned with this terrible disease to give from your hearts. If you are unable to make a donation online, I may also be reached from the contact link available to make a donation to an account I am dedicating for this particular event. If you are unable to make any financial donation, I simply ask for your time to donate 24 hours to post my personal plea on your social media network.
Thank you and may your faith in God continue to be your source of Strength, Love and Compassion.
