Help For Lincoln

Lincoln is a Bark Nation survivor dog, and he's been through so much already in his life. He was found in downtown Detroit, living on a chain, with a severely embedded collar down to the bone. He survived a very intense surgery and made an amazing recovery. He's since been living his best life with his loving mom and dad and they take him on so many adventures. He's been doing amazing, until this week. On August 5 he woke up with a large lump on his neck and a swollen lymph node. The lump had necrotic tissue in it as well. Biopsies were done and Lincoln has a pretty nasty bacterial infection, that spread, and another lump developed two days later. Then he stopped being able to put weight on his back legs. He was rushed back to the emergency vet and more tests were run. He still has a bacterial infection in his neck, but unfortunately the leg x-rays did not give us good news. During his previous life of abuse his leg was broken in numerous places and healed incorrectly. He is now in extreme pain. They are keeping him overnight on a fentynal drip, hoping to reset his system which they say is very amped up, and ease his pain. They said if it does not work, leg amputation may be in our poor boys future. It has been a pretty expensive week for this amazing survivor, and we are willing to pay anything to make sure he continues to live his best life, but anything that anyone would like to contribute to his medical funds would be greatly appreciated during this difficult time for him!
