Help for Northern CEBU (Typhoon Haiyan)

AS you may have heard/seen on the news, the Philippines, specially the Visayas region was devastated by a Super Typhoon named Haiyan/Yolanda. Properties damaged, lives lost, thousands injured and thousands more trying to survive hunger due to slow response of relief efforts from the Government.

Companies and individuals are doing their best to fill the need of the survivors. Sadly, our efforts are still not enough. Most of the relief efforts has been poured mostly into Leyte and Samar, but some provinces has been left with less attention. And as you may have heard/seen from the news, our Government has not been much of help for the past days.

I am appealing to your hearts to help us put a smile on the people of Northern Cebu. Municipalities like Medellin, San Remigio, Daanbatayan have been left in shambles. Tourist spots Malapascua Island and Bantayan Island is of the same situation. I know I can't help all of these places, so I will mainly focus my help on my mom's birthplace, Daanbantayan, Cebu, for now. We have relatives there and their current situation is bad.

Daanbantayan is place we visit every summer time since Grade School. This is a place we have grown to loved with people we have considered family and friends. The storm has left the place in disarray.

We have done our first relief effort and sent our goods last week (November 10). This weekend (November 17), we will be sending a new batch of goods with the help of our friends. These goods will only be good for 1-3 days per family, but it is temporary releif to the hunger that they feel. With your help, we plan to buy more relief goods and medicine to keep their spirits up. If more is raised, we plan to buy lumber and GI sheets for them to get decent shelter enough for them to restart their life. This way, we do not only give relief to their hunger, at least we give them a fighting chance of taking another crack at life.

Is this a long shot? Of course it is! But we will try our very best to help our family/friends devastated by the Typhoon. Your help will help put a smile on on their face and instill hope that there is a rainbow after all these.

Thank you!

**We will document all the help we can get from you guys.**
