A Mothers Fight for Equality

Imagine being part of a planned pregnancy, the primary care taker, the stay at home parent. As the non-biological lesbian mother, my friend Marlene, has to go through the court system as the other parent has denied her access and rights to her child. My friend kissed the booboos, was the chauffeur, taught her child how to ride a bike and swim, work in the garden, build toys, cozy up and her native language. She created a safe and loving atmosphere.

The fight for equal rights for same-sex parents should be unnecessary in a modern world, but my friend never dreamed she'd be in this position herself. Children with two mommies have the same need for stability and protection as children with two parents in any other family. In her work, she focuses on equality awareness and in helping families.

Please help her fight the good fight to gain court awarded parental rights. She does not have the resources for these costly legal proceedings.
