Philippines,Typhoon Yolanda Donation

Hello! My name is Precious Anne Smith. I set this page up for my best friend Riza Walker. She is from a small town in Eastern Samar called Lawaan. As most of you know the strongest Typhoon in recorded history Typhoon Haiyan as it was known internationally and Typhoon Yolanda as it was called in the Philippines hit the Leyte and Eastern Samar area on November 8, 2013. There is an abundant shortage of food, water, clothing and personal items and well baby items. This fund is going directly to my friends hometown of Lawaan Eastern Samar. This little town in Eastern Samar didn't hear form their families and friends until three days after the monstrous typhoon hit. They didn't know if their friends and loved ones were alive or if they perished. It took a group of 8 to battle the treacherous roads just to get to Western Samar, one part of the island that had food, supplies and cell service... The few that had families living abroad organized their own relief efforts because they could not rely on the Philippine government and their very slow aid to isolated areas. Besides the loss of material belongings and damage to their home, they also had to bear the loss of family members, one of which was her 6 year old Nephew and Godson.. We are asking for your assistance in any way to help restart not only the lives of her family and friends but also to her beloved town. This is an enormous task we have ahead of us but with your help and donations we can help rebuild lives and hope back to the people of Lawaan Eastern Samar!!! Damo nga salamat ha iyo ngatan!!!
