Send Megan to LIMA, PERU with MEDLIFE!

From December 14th-22nd, I will be embarking on a medical service trip to Lima, Peru.

MEDLIFE is a student run organization founded on the principle of providing Medicine, Education and Development to Low Income Families Everywhere. I will be working alongside medical professionals, my fellow Florida State University students and Medlife workers to serve these underprivileged populations. We will be hosting mobile clinics that will provide primary care relief for individuals and families who would otherwise lack any access to healthcare.

However, our service goes beyond typical medical brigades. We aim to resolve the roots of their problems; we will provide educational relief and empower the people on relevant health topics, in addition to participating in developmental projects to facilitate their everyday lives as well as improving their overall community.

I honestly feel that this is an amazing opportunity to open my eyes to global health, and a great way to explore my future profession in the medical field. The trip is being funded entirely through donations and funds raised by those going. I am asking my friends and family to consider becoming part of my trip emotionally and through donation. The total cost of this trip is going to be around $1500 ($770 for flight, $700 for food/lodging/transportation/medical supplies).
