Helping Wendy

2020 has been a devastating year for a lot of people. It was a mixed bag for me. I was given the amazing gift of a healthy kidney, but nothing is ever totally free and there is constant, critical maintenance to remain healthy. Due to the pandemic, I was furloughed from my job and lost my benefits. I’ve been trying to collect unemployment and tried to get on Medicare Part B, but I’m told there will be no coverage until July 1st, resulting in six months without insurance to cover the costs of rejection meds and lab tests. I have contacted a senator for emergency assistance and I’m still awaiting a response. I can’t afford to stay in California because of the high cost of living and must move out of my apartment soon. I have just enough money to get through the end of this month. I have a place to go out of state, but no means to pay the moving costs. I have always worked hard to pay my way, but I need help from my friends to get through this. I’m in a desperate situation. It’s so hard to ask for help, especially at a time when others are strapped, but every little bit you can spare will help me.  Thank you! I really appreciate any help you can offer.
