2016 AKPsi 5K For Cystic Fibrosis

Alpha Kappa Psi will be holding their annual 5K Philanthropy Event on Sunday April 10th at 12:00 pm at University Park located on the campus of James Madison University. The ultimate goal for this 5K is to gain as much awareness and support for a potential cure for Cystic Fibrosis, a devastating disease that affects thousands throughout the world.
Cystic fibrosis (CF) is a life-threatening, genetic disease that causes persistent lung infection which progressively limits the ability to breathe. Currently in the United States, there are approximately 30,000 people who are living with Cystic Fibrosis and 70,000 worldwide. Those living with the disease undergo various daily treatments and therapies that allow them to live their lives to the best of their ability. With a small donation to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, you are contributing to the development of these lifesaving therapies and supporting the research opportunities for a potential lifelong cure! Every penny counts!
