Revere Spec Ed Parent Advisory Council

I'm honored and excited to run my 4th Boston Marathon to raise money for the city of Revere Special Education Parent Advisory Council (SEPAC). The mission of SEPAC is to work for understanding of, respect for and support of all children with special needs along with their families.

My son, Amir, is autistic and I am always blown away at how hard he and other children with special needs work as well as how time and money intensive many of their needs are. Therefore, I jumped at the chance to make life a little bit easier for a struggling family. Some things to consider:
- an iPad can mean the difference between communication and silence.
- therapies can mean the difference between independence and a life time of dependence.
- respite care in the form of a night out can give just enough of a break to allow a family to survive the challenges of raising a kid that requires intensive around the clock supervision.

In this spirit, please give whatever you can and if you can't give in the form of money, I will gladly take your love and support as I tackle 26.2 in April. It's a tough undertaking but these kids fight each and every hour - I can fight for a mere five. Help me do this friends!

Thank you!

Love, Jalon
