Paul’s Second Chance At Life ❤️

Donation protected
At 31 my husband was diagnosed with heart disease. His heart was enlarged and it wasn’t pumping well. He changed his eating habits, started exercising more and started taking heart meds. He lost 100lbs and was doing very well for about 10 years.

8 years ago he got sepsis and was in a coma for 3 days and almost died. He has since been diagnosed with diabetes, kidney failure and now has liver issues. He has had amputations and eye surgery from the diabetes.

He now has congestive heart failure and does not qualify for a heart transplant according to his specialists at St. Paul’s hospital. They have advised us there is nothing more they can do for him.

I have been off with him for almost 8 months taking care of him and myself dealing with my emotional issues and trying to keep our family together.

We have been together for 22 years and have 4 children. I’m trying to do everything I can to save his life and maybe give us more time together.

We have the opportunity to go to the university of Edmonton hospital for a meeting with their specialists and get second opinion on his health
and if there is a possibility of any other treatment that can help him. His appointment is scheduled for March 20th.
We will only be there for a few days but airfare, hotel, transportation and food for the time will be a few thousand dollars.

With me not working and being denied coverage by sunlife I’m not sure how to pay for this.

Paul HATES telling people about his personal life and asking for anything but we want him to be around to see his kids graduate and get married and become a nonno eventually!!

Any help is appreciated
