Mambo! (Swahili: Hello!)

"Save Africa" is an orphanage and primary school in the rural outskirts of Arusha, Tanzania. There are 54 children who live here and over 70 kids who attend, all of which face serious challenges on a daily basis. With your donations, we will be able to retake and realise the work to finish - being a new building for several bigger classrooms, better bedrooms for the orphans, as well as an office and rooms for the teachers. Besides that, to secure the food supply, the new building will include a farm to allow the orphanage to become less dependent on buying food and provide the children with sustainably grown vegetables, rice, eggs and meat. It will also assist to alleviate some of the financial strains of the future. Sometimes the only food the children receive is at the school, therefore we feel it is our responsability to truly care for them. The foundation of the buildings have already been constructed and there are already vegetables growing.

Our goal is to undertake this project as soon as possible, and be able to provide all children with the food and shelter they so desperately deserve and need. Any donations of any amount will really go a long way. Asante sana! (Swahili: thank you very much!)

**NOTE: in order to ensure complete transparency, we wanted to let you know that a trusted third party is being used to withdraw the money - she is an IVHQ volunteer (IVHQ is the volunteer organisation that placed us - Tomer and Carina - at Save Africa) and American citizen named Maryellen Consiglio. This is because Gofundme does not allow USD to be connected to an Australian or European bank account. As well as this, Maryellen has been an invaluable member in assisting and advising with the improvements of the new orphanage and school at Save Africa.
