Please help Gracie

Donation protected
Gracie is only 2 years old and was brought to the ER on Friday night when her owner's noticed she wasn't feeling well. She had an ultrasound done which showed an Intussusception, which is a problem with the intestine in which one portion of the bowel slides into the next, much like the pieces of a telescope. In addition to that she had aspiration pneumonia. Her condition required her to have surgery in order to save her, which the owners could not afford. The owners were willing to surrender her so that she had a chance to live. Gracie had her surgery Friday night, but needs donations to help pay for her surgery. She will also be looking for a new home once she is recovered. So far, she is doing very well with her recovery. She is not clinical or showing signs for her aspiration pneumonia. She ate a few meatballs of a bland diet today :) I will be picking her up today to take her to a wonderful foster until she is feeling better. Unfortunately after many opportunities the previous owners did not step up to try to get her back.

You can make donations two ways 1) You can call Hope Veterinary Specialist directly at [phone redacted] please specify you are making a donation for "Gracie" under Lauren Cohn. or 2) you can make a donation here on this link.

Please keep Gracie in your thoughts and send lots of PMA for a speedy recovery and the perfect new home. XOXO
