Divina and I thank you for all your email and facebook messages of concern.
As you know, the Philippines has been hit hard by recent typhoon
Haiyan. We know many of you have even expressed an interest in specific
ways to help, knowing there is a great need within the family of our
loved ones in the province of Ilo-Ilo.
We have received word that 10 homes of Divina's relatives have been completely destroyed. With each home costing only $300 to build out of a simple bamboo construction, we are requesting your participation in raising $3,000.00 for the construction of these 10 homes and $1,000 for food and water.
You will never find anyone more kind and appreciative than the people of Ilo-Ilo. Their hearts will be truly touched by whatever contribution you are able to make. For me, these are not just Divina's relatives, they are also MY family and your help would mean the world to both of us.
