Amber's Journey

Amber is Stage IV with Metastatic Melanoma to the brain, lungs, spine and throughout other areas of the body.

Amber is a 28 year old, single mother of 2 daughters. Amber is battling her second round of Melanoma. She had been in remission since 2008. On October 7th, 2013, she was life flighted due to a hemorrhage in her brain. When in surgery, they discovered and removed 2 tumors while also stopping the bleed. An MRI revealed a third tumor in her brain that was removed on October 14th, 2013. We are raising funds to help with medical/household bills, funds for travels for treatments, and basic needs. 

She has traveled to Colorado for gamma ray therapy on 5 lesions in the bed of the tumors that had been removed from her brain. http://www.coloradocyberknife.com/about-cyberknife-vsi/. Amber was seen by Dr. Rene Gonzalez in Colorado until recently when she moved back to Kansas City. Amber is now being seen at KU Medical Center.
