<div>So, everyone knows my best friend/sister in the whole world. She recently took a leap of faith and moved to Georgia to start a new journey in life. She left a job of 12 years, came to Georgia, and things took a left, but she veered right back on the path and found a job that she loved, that she adapted to, and that she amazed her superiors with how fast she learned.

<div>On August 21st, she flew out of Tallahassee and parked her car at the airport for what, as of yesterday when I went to get it, was 20 days. She was supposed to be gone for 3 days. That's why she left it. Her dad, whom if you know her, you know who Jerry McCord is, went in for what was going to be a simple procedure to help him walk better. The day after the surgery, every day was pretty much a day of bad news as he got worse. A simple back surgery turned worse and landed him on a ventilator for 11 days, and he was not able to breathe on his own. But, we got a thumbs up yesterday!

<div>Natasha could leave. Yet, she refuses to leave her mom and dad's side. As you all know, they are a very close family. She will not leave her mom to deal with all of this on her own. All the while, Patricia and Jerry still have bills and obligations on top of the already umpteen hospital bills that are steadily racking up. Even though we got a thumbs up yesterday... we went 5 steps back again today. She still has a house, car, insurance, and all the other bills that pile in for a single-income household. She hasn't ever asked anyone for a dime. She would give the shirt off her back to someone. She would give every piece of change and money she has in her wallet to a homeless person. Trust me, I've seen it. More than once. She's applying for part-time work while still in Texas so she can still be there to help with her dad and even attempt to make ends meet. But, with this economy, it's not looking so great. We had a generous donor that was able to help get her car out of the airport and basic essential needs this past week. She wanted to send the money back, but I couldn't tell her where it came from, so she couldn't send it back.

<div>But, the whole point of this post is she would never ask anyone for anything. <strong>But, she really needs help right now and not to lose everything that she's worked so hard for.</strong> She's officially lost her job here in Georgia; she was just a couple of weeks shy of having PTO. As a best friend, this is where I step in... <strong>$5, $10, $20, can go a long way.</strong> There comes a point in life where someone needs help. And this is her story. If you can't donate, please share and pray! Pray for Jerry to make a full recovery, pray for the family, for strength and peace.
