A fight for life, for Scotty Kac

Scott Kac is only 48 years old and has been fighting for his life for the last several years. He has been battling Leukemia while also dealing with Pulminary Langerhans Cell Histiocytosis – or PLCH. He has been struggling to breath and has lived with an oxygen tank as he tries to fight the disease. He has now contracted pulmonary hypertension in his heart. He is currently in remission from the Leukemia which he now has beaten however he still needs chemotherapy and his insurance does not cover all of the excessive expenses that have added up from several years of treatment. The disease has affected his eyesight, his kidneys, his teeth and his entire well-being. 

Scott was a very talented chef and used to own his own restaurant. He also had a catering business and just loved to make people happy with his food. He is a good person who we all love. Our hearts are breaking to watch him suffer like this. His parents have sold everything to move him to Florida where he can breathe better and find some happiness and better quality of life.
