Pointe Ana To Pittsburgh!

My mom enrolled me in ballet and tap when I was 4 so I would have a place to use up some of my extra energy-haha! After that year, I told my mom that I ONLY wanted to do ballet… I thought tap was too loud and I wanted to be a ballerina. My parents took me seriously and decided that if I wanted to be a ballerina they may as well start my training at a professional ballet school. The next year they enrolled me in classes at Texas Ballet Theater School in Fort Worth, where I am happy to say I am currently in my 10th year as a student. I absolutely cannot imagine my life without ballet. The dancing, the music, the discipline, the teachers, the friendships, the thrill of being on stage… It’s all a part of what makes me who I am. I have attended Summer Dance Intensives at TCU through our own school for the past 3 summers. This year my teachers encouraged me to reach out of my comfort zone and audition for summer dance intensives outside of my home studio. I am excited to say that I have been accepted to train for 5 weeks at Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre this summer! Summer Ballet Intensive Programs are extremely expensive. I was awarded a partial tuition scholarship, which will help, but I still need to come up with quite a bit of money in order to cover the rest of my tuition, room and board and flights. My mom and Dad have already paid $1,000 to cover all of my deposits and I am babysitting every chance I get when I’m not dancing to help raise some of the money. I would love it if any of you would like to help fund my ballet dreams with a donation! I am grateful for any amount you are able to contribute. To show my appreciation, for any donation over $100 I will gladly send you one of my original paintings. Thank you so much for helping me achieve my dreams! -Ana “Let them praise His name with dancing.” Psalm 149:3
