Loki's Vet Bills

Loki entered our lives at the young age of 8weeks. Loki recieved the best care possible. Recieved all vaccinations, was neutered, microchipped. He is brought out on walks constantly and has made my husky mix his best friend. Loki is fed top quality meats and has been very healthy. He has been a joy to have around and has been quite the interesting addition to our crazy family.


On 11/28/17 I came home from a vacation to find Loki laying in his kennel limp and lethargic. My brother in-law had stayed with him while we were gone and stated he was fine the entire time. Was playing, vocalizing and eating. This was no longer the case. I spent all night up calling emergency vets to get him in (finding a vet that see's domesticated foxes is difficult). I was finally able to get him in the morning of the 29th. The vet had not dealt foxes but was kind enought to take a look. X-rays showed he could possibly have the beginnings of a bowel obstruction but we were unsure. Fluids were adminstered and we were sent home. Told if he did not poop in 24 hours to come back.

Loki laid around all day very lethargic.  Something just wasn't right. I decided to bring him back into the Urgent care vet. At this point Loki was now running a low grade fever and had some watery stool. The vet wanted him to be hospitalized for 2 days, administration of IV fluids and antibiotics. Wanted to run some more tests to find out what was going on with my baby. All was great and I was excited to hopefully get some answers.... until the bill came in. For a 2 day stay they want $2,053. This would cover the care. If they found anything or if he ended up need surgery it would be even more. I love my boy but bawled as I told the tech I just couldn't afford that right now. I just paid a large vet bill earlier that morning as well. 

I am not one who asks for help like this. I was actually approached by a few to make this page, as they were willing to help donate. I want what is best for my boy. I too will be paying for as much as I can, but this will greatly assist me in covering his vet bills. I need to get him the care ASAP before it is too late. In the 8 months he has been here, he has touch so many hearts. I can't bare to think of a day without Loki. Please help.
