Whitehaven Battle of the Drummers18

The Whitehaven High School Battle of the Drummers is annual event held to showcase percussion sections students great dynamics, precise rhythms, controlled tempos, exciting rudiments combination, and excellent transition talents. Beginning in 1996 it was ended in 2007. The event was relaunched in the spring of 2013 with a bigger attraction. Since the relaunch the event has featured collegiate percussion section from HBCU around the south which has help elevate our event into one of the most anticipated show style drum line competitions of the year in the south. In addition the event has provided scholarships opportunities for students who have not received any offers or would not have an opportunity to attend college without a scholarship. This event gives many students that platform. The most positive outcome of our event is it gives our community something positive to talk about and give students something positive and exciting to work towards. For the show style marching division for high school this is our “SUPER BOWL”. With that financial obligation that come with the success of the event are created . In order for us to accommodate all of our participant we are seeking $4000 to provide a great experience for everyone.
