Help Lena get well from CANCER

Hi, Anyone who knows me hopefully knows that I’d never ask for anything if it wasn’t important. And anyone who knows me also knows that I’d lend a hand to anyone if I could. I’ve taken friends in before to help them out, I contribute whenever I can to fundraisers and I try to offer support however possible to those in need. I’m sure most people I know also do the same. That’s why I’m here!This is personal for me this time though ... I’m actually asking ... no, I’m pleading ... for any help you can give! My amazing friend, Lena is battling. She has lived a life of complete hardship and yet she doesn’t complain. Not ever! She’s the most courageous, inspiring person I know and would give you the shirt off her back if you needed it. She has a huge heart and has been knocked off with feet with difficulties more times than a person should ever have to and yet she always gets straight back up! Lena lives in Las Vegas (we met way back in 2010 and we’ve been soul sisters ever since). I feel blessed to have such a kind and caring person in my life. Thank God for the internet making the world small enough to stay in touch!Anyway, Lena was diagnosed with Stage 2 Ovarian Cancer back in 2011, requiring surgery the following year. She was then rediagnosed with recurring ovarian cancer in 2016 and finished treatment later that year. Last year she began experiencing horrific abdominal pain and ended up finding out that she had an atrophied right kidney and that her gallbladder is now producing too much calcium, resulting in recurring gallstones, due to the intensive radiation and treatment she underwent for the cancer. In a nutshell her gallbladder needs to be removed immediately as it’s ruined ... thanks to cancer! Sooooo ... here in Australia we’re lucky! We have a health care system that actually works. Unfortunately for Lena she lives in America and your health is only looked after if you pay big dollars. No one expects to get cancer and although Lena has private health cover it doesn’t help her with work and the time off she needs to recuperate. She also has a rare form of haemophilia, which requires her to also have platelet treatment, making her recovery more difficult. With or without anyone’s help I know Lena will be okay. She’s strong and she is resilient. She’s a fighter! But no one should have to fight like this! I won’t go into the details of Lena’s life but believe me, she could write a book! I actually hope one day she does! She has endured so much that it’s really quite incredible. If anyone deserves a hand it’s her. So please, donate anything you can. This will help cover her medical costs, her time off work and her mounting bills. We all have troubles and I’m not dismissing them from anyone, but trust me, not like the things she has been through!
