Xena Medical Expenses - Tribe Needed

Hello cheerleaders. It’s with sadness and humility that I reach out for help again. It’s been a lot to process , which is why I haven’t posted regarding my last Sloan Kettering appt and my recent appointments at home. Basically, immunotherapy did NOT work and I’ve been taken off the clinical trial (big blow). During this battle with immunotherapy I’ve racked up a lot of expenses with travel, lodging, missing being able to work side jobs for extra money, being hospitalized twice while on treatment. I’m behind on my bills, most importantly. My monthly medical insurance premiums which is almost as expensive as my rent..... now that I’m off the clinical trial. I saw my oncologist yesterday regarding the tumors on my spine and in my lung. Radiation is to start soon. Spoke with the radiology oncologist today. I go in for “mapping” next week and radiation is to start shortly after that. Goal of radiation to my spine is to hopefully shrink the tumors and get me out of the pain I’ve been battling oh so badly! Ultimately, I’m gambling everyday with the possibility of becoming paralyzed. So shrinking the spinal tumors is priority right now and even so. Radiation still has the chance of damaging the vertebrae and causing paralysis that way. Those of you that don’t know about radiation. It’s a daily thing for weeks. During this time, I will have side effects. I will be unable to work my side jobs that I do to make extra money to supplement my income to make ends meet. After this, IF the MRI of my heart looks ok (I’mnow seeing a cardiologist oncologist to add to the list of oncologists), IF the MRI looks ok and looks like my heart can handle chemo. I willBe starting two different chemo poisons after radiation. Again, side effects (much worse than radiation). I will be unable to work side jobs that help me make ends meet..... pushing me further in debt and behind in my medical bills and insurance and just surviving will be difficult. Not trying to gain sympathy here. Just want to give you a clear and accurate picture of what I am facing and why I am asking for help. I remain positive for the most part, but this is a huge blow and been hard for me to process and share. I need help from my cheerleaders and my tribe more than ever right now.
