Mama Bettisheba Pole Ketang’enyi has been a mother, mentor, counselor and support to many in Tanzania and here in the United States.

She was also a teacher and active member of her community throughout her life. Together with her husband, the late Nathaniel M. Ketang’enyi, Bettisheba has opened up her home to those that need a place of rest and refreshing, a place to call home when attending school far from home. Up to the sudden end of her journey on September 30th, 2015, she was housing 4 orphans in her own home, while supporting 3 young people to complete their secondary education.

She was an active member of WAMATA which supports women and their communities in the fight against AIDS/HIV and every form of abuse.

She was active in her church community as part of the family counseling team in Dar-es-salaam, Tanzania.

Her family and friends would like to provide you with the opportunity to not only see her to her final place of rest, but to continue to support the work that she had already started in making a difference in others. The young men and women and children that were in her home, will need your support to continue and complete their education.

She will always be remembered for her kindness, patience, tact and faith in the Lord.

We thank you for your support and May the Lord richly bless you.
